St. Valentine’s Day is sure a fun time at my home, St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly. Most of the Residents and employees donned red, pink or white for our party at two o’clock in the afternoon. There was live music for our enjoyment, and some folks dancing. But the main attraction was the huge heart gliding throughout the dining room. Employee, Yolanda Mercado, our “dancing queen” was the body moving this beautiful heart around and about. A sight to behold! Adding to the fun were several seminarians, who visit here on Tuesday afternoons. They enjoyed the festivities and helped by being very entertaining themselves. Let’s not forget the delicious beverages, cookies and giant cupcakes that were served, along with the very necessary Valentine’s Day chocolates. A good time was had by all. Thank you to the Little Sisters and staff who do so much for us. And thank you, St. Valentine!
