First please allow me to share my joy in having joined the staff this week as the new Development Coordinator. I have never met a group of people more friendly and so dedicated to helping care for the elderly. I thank you all and I am grateful for your warm welcome and support.
My wife June and I were born in New York, met at Adelphi University, were married in 1983 and moved to Roxbury Twp in Morris County 19 years ago. We have 3 sons who are all musicians. Greg ( 26) and Michael ( 23 ) are graduates of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Kevin (19) is a sophomore at Mansfield University in north central PA. I am an aspiring ( some would say frustrated) singer/guitarist as well as the president of the volunteer non- profit Roxbury Arts Alliance.
As parishioners of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Flanders, June and I coordinated a Christmas Toy Drive to benefit Catholic Family Services. I have made trips to Little Sisters of the Poor with toy donations for Sr Cecilia the past 5 years. It never dawned on me that I would find myself working for the Little Sisters of the Poor.
June is an RN Case Manager at St Clares Hospital. I have had a career as a sales and marketing professional but in recent years I have felt pulled to seek employment with a non-profit that helped people in need. I am truly inspired by the Little Sisters of the Poor and of their foundress St. Jeanne Jugan. Her loving words are so moving and comforting. As she said, “ If God is with us, it will be accomplished. God will help us, the work is His ”
Thank you all for making my first week special. I am so grateful for your warm welcome and support.
So very happy to be here!
