Working Together To Feed The Elderly
We just wanted to share with you how our good friends are helping us during this current health crisis.
St. Joseph’s Home relies heavily on regular donations from the monthly grocery store begging and from many local businesses to feed and care for our Residents. Because the Sisters are not going out collecting and businesses are closed, we are in constant need of food and supplies.
A list of much-needed items was sent out to our Auxiliary and family members, to volunteers and parishes and also posted on this site – and many have generously responded. People are also using their talents and are making face masks for us too. Mother Provincial Alice Marie Monica reached out to the Knights of Columbus organization and asked for their help. Since then, local Councils have been dropping off food, supplies and mailing in gift cards to food stores. All non-perishable donations are left in the garage overnight, wiped down, then sorted and stored for use. Many wonderful businesses who support us on a regular basis are also dropping off or shipping food and products. With this extended family answering our call, we continue to provide for the Residents daily needs.
We send our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has given so generously with food, supplies and monetary donations. The Little Sisters pray every day for you, our benefactors, for your support, that you all stay well and for an end to this health crisis.

Even with all of these wonderful people helping us, unfortunately, there are days when we fall short.
If any of you, who haven’t already done so, would like to help us out, please go to the News and Events section and click on “urgent food items needed” for a printable list.
Gift cards for food stores will also be greatly appreciated. They allow us to purchase what does not come in while helping us support the local grocery stores who are so very good to us all year long. For information on donating, please email Cathy Ann Dewar, Development Director twdevelopment@littlesistersofthepoor.org. Thank you!
