When the Little Sisters of the Poor do something, it’s not little. They appreciate everything that’s done for them—and they know how to show it. This has been done many times in the past—but they recently did a marvelous job.

It was a lovely evening, a “Thank You Party” for the volunteers who help in any way they can. Just walking into the Home is a wonderful experience. You can feel the warmth of entering a neat, cozy, and very comfortable environment. A sitting room, complete with an electric fireplace greets you, surrounded by comfortable chairs and sofas. A curled up black and white cat warms herself by the fire (however, she’s not real.)

After meeting the other volunteers and chatting with them, the Sisters led us into the Residents’ Dining Room. It was all aglow with a wonderful array of goodies. The tables were covered with brightly colored tablecloths and centerpieces. The Little Sisters and their Staff sure know how to make you feel welcome!

We were treated to a most delightful dinner, a grand buffet of hot and cold foods, followed by an    an “ohhhh, so good!” variety of desserts and beverages. In addition, we had a professional disc jockey that played a wonderful variety of great music, including some of the old standards we grew up with. It was an entirely perfect evening with much dancing. A fun time was had by all!

Dear Sisters, on behalf of all of your volunteers, Thank you! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
